Ragamuffins were bred in the 1960s, and at that time they were called ‘Cherubim’. Ann Baker, a Persian breeder, came to be the progenitor of the breed, and she supervised all breeding actions. However, in 1967 a large group of breeders disassociated from her team and developed Ragdoll cats.
